We have gifts for celebrating Easter, decorating for Easter & gifts from the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny was first introduced to America by the German settlers who arrived in Pennsylvania during the 1700s. According to the tradition, children would build brightly colored nests, and put them in secluded areas of their homes. The Oschter Haws (the German Easter Bunny) would, if the children had been good, lay brightly colored eggs in the nest. As tradition grew, the nest became manufactured into today's modern Easter basket, and the replacing of the nest in a secluded area to the tradition of hiding baskets or eggs. The first edible Easter Bunnies were made in Germany during the early 1800s and were made of pastry and sugar.
