Jim Shore is an award winning self-taught artist that has gained enormous popularity through his God given talent. Jim grew up in rural South Carolina, the son of artistic parents who instilled a love of the traditional values expressed in American folk art. His inspiration was drawn from his grandmother, who taught him the appreciation for the patience and skill required to bring intricate designs to life. The magic of Jim Shore's design style is associated with a huge variety of formats, besides figurines. Each of his designs are unique in giving each figurine a life of its own. Every piece has two designs - one, what the item will be and second, what colors and patters will go on it. They're are just fun to look at, it's American Folk Art at its best!
