Mothers are the cornerstones of the Family. So we set aside one day out of the year to honour our mothers, Mother's Day. It doesn't matter WHEN you celebrate it, just that you DO celebrate the love of your Mother.
Different countries celebrate Mother's Day on various days of the year because the day has a number of different origins. The Mother's Day holiday, as observed today in the United States, celebrates motherhood generally and the contributions of mothers to society. It falls on the second Sunday of each May. Our Mothers often receive cards, gifts or flowers from her children on this day to show her their love and affection.
